suppose it’s all a question of surgery, isn’t it? Of course the

A
Grandparent’s Christmas is full of
timeless memories
Evergreen
moments shared with their beloved families
Going
way back to the times when their children were small
It’s
only the enduring Love and happiness they recall
Time’s
moved on, and now they have grandchildren to treasure
Each
precious jewel brings more Love and the purest pleasure
The
family continues to expand as the years go by
Bliss
of Grandparenthood lifts their Soul sky high
All
through these stages of Christmas days
Life
moves on through time, expanding always
Change
is inevitable, time can not stand still
So
appreciating these moments is vital, to fill
Your
Heart and Soul with Joyous memories
Of
the stages of life spent around Christmas trees
Because
that is what family at Christmas is for
To
celebrate, the Joy and Love you share, above all
quote from poem: Christmas Through The Family
Trina Graves 1961
English spiritual poet & quote anthologist
As we get older it seems that time goes so fast
Speeded up from our childhood days, long in the past
When school summer holidays seemed to last forever
We played happily all day, no matter the weather
As
age takes its toll, time can certainly slump
Especially
if taken the attitude of a grump
But
those who keep mind and body active
Will
tinker with time. and enthusiastically live
quote from poem: Every Instant Of Time Is A Pinprick Of Eternity
Becoming
Great-Great-Grandparents
Just
a few short weeks ago,
A
fifth generation begins
The
clock of time’s
evidence on show,
But
how will this new generation
Know
of your part of their world?
Unless
they are told the stories
The
past generation’s
lives unfurled.
Family
history needs to be shared
Not
just for memories sake
But
for all the treasures they hold
From
our past, our lives we make
Each
generation feeds the next
Not
just on physical food and love
But
all of the experiences mould
And
fit, to enfold like a glove
quote from poem: Family Stories
Trina Graves 1961
English spiritual poet & quote anthologist
Depending
on your age, you might
Still
reminisce when you smell
The
aroma peeling a satsuma
At
Christmas, only available to sell
quote from poem: All The Twinkle
Every
instant of time is a pinprick
Of
eternity’s
candle, we are the wick
Vital
to it’s
radiance, expanding perpetually
Aligned
with Source, we are timelessly free
quote from poem: Every Instant Of Time Is A Pinprick Of Eternity
I
gracefully change through the moments, days and
years.
I
let go, and let God nurture me in strength of Spirit.
I
Am of the Light, therefore darkness is an illusion.
We
are all One, so loneliness is an illusion.
I am Kind, Gentle and Loving with myself, and all others.
quote from Affirming The Classics poem: Desiderata Fulfilled
In
this constant journey that is our life...
Nothing
stays the same
Whoever
we are, whatever we do...
Nothing
stays the same
From
birth to childhood, teen to adult...
Nothing
stays the same
Old
age and death the cycle goes...
Nothing
stays the same
quote from poem: Nothing Stays The Same
Many years have passed, and now you can see,
How everything has let to, Who you came here to be.
quote from poem: Stained Glass Poems
Trina Graves 1961

The greatest treasures bestowed on me
Worth more than diamonds and gold
Were the lives of my precious children
Still my treasures even as we grow old
quote from poem: The Greatest Blessings
Trina Graves 1961

With
the old eyes of wisdom you can now see
So
clearly the pure contentment of your family
These
precious little Angels, Sent from up above
Grandchildren
bring bliss, And quintessential Love
quote

Are
Family Happinesses

C. David Hay
American dentist & poet
I’ll Still Be Loving You
When
your hair has turned to winter
and
your teeth are in a plate,
when
your getter up and go
has
gone to stop and wait—
I’ll
still be loving you.
When
your attributes have shifted
beyond
the bounds of grace,
I’ll
count your many blessings,
not
the wrinkles in your face—
I’ll
still be loving you.
When
the crackle in your voice
matches
that within your knee
and
the times are getting frequent
that
you don’t remember me—
I’ll
still be loving you.
Growing
old is not a sin,
it’s
something we all do.
I
hope you’ll always understand—
I’ll
still be loving you.

is not important unless you’re
a cheese.

You
will never be old with a twinkle in your eye,
with the springtime in
your heart as you watch the winter fly.
You will never be old while
you have a smile to share,
while you wonder at mankind and you find
the time to care.
While there’s magic in your world and a special
dream to hold,
while you still can laugh at life, you will never be
old.
Oliver Wendell Holmes 1809-1894

Forty
is the old age of youth.. Fifty is the youth of old age.

Aging
allows us to drop the baggage. It is only through life experiences
that our incredible power can be brought forward in all its glory.
All the dangers in our world are like a blessed wake up call. They tell us to live life NOW.. Not tomorrow, not when the children grow up, not when we retire, but NOW.

people in your life who matter, what they mean to you.
Luther Standing Bear 1868-1939
Native American Chief of Oglala Lakota tribe
The
old Lakota was wise. He knew that a man’s
heart away from nature becomes hard. He knew that lack of respect for
growing, living things soon led to lack of respect for humans, too.
So he kept his children close to nature’s
softening influence.
Douglas MacArthur 1880-1964
American General of United States Army
In
the central place of every heart there is a recording chamber. So
long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer and courage, so
long are you young. When your heart is covered with the snows of
pessimism and the ice of cynicism, then, and then only, are you grown
old. And then, indeed as the ballad says, you just fade away.
Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up interest wrinkles the soul.
You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt. As young as your self-confidence, as old as your fear. As young as your hope, as old as your despair.

Robert Muller 1923-2010
Belgian author & assistant secretary-general of United Nations
As
the number of old people will grow, the world will gain in wisdom.
Genius can flower in a young person and in an old person. It can be a precocious capacity or the result of a long life experience.
I take always solace from the fact that St Augustine started to write the City Of God at the age of 59.
My physical body may be less efficient and less beautiful in old age. But God has given me an enormous compensation: my mind is richer my Soul is broader and my wisdom is at a peak. I am so happy with the riches of my advance peak age that contrary to Faust, I would not wish to return to youth.
Old age is not a diminution.. It is a peak experience.
Old age is the time of meditation, of conclusion and wisdom, of story-telling and sharing advice with the little ones and youth as one climbs the last hill of life.
Older people are closer to God. Therefore, they are better transmitters of wisdom and spirituality.
The richest product of advance, old age is wisdom and story telling.
The sand of my life is running out.. Is it white, black or golden sand?
To those who see this world as part of God’s Creation, death will come naturally and gently.
When
I was a child, I spoke like a child.
When I was an adult, I no longer
spoke like a child.
When I became old and wise, I spoke again like a
child.
I wish I had spoken all my life like a child.
Wise elderly persons should become gurus. The teaching of wisdom should be the main function of the third age. We should create third age universities or at least faculties.

does not protect you from love. But love, to some extent, protects
you from age.

people can’t

Like
a morning dream, life becomes more and more bright the longer we
live, and the reason of everything appears more clear. What has

straighter as we approach the end.
The more sand has escaped the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it.

man’s age is something impressive, it sums up his life: maturity

Elderly people are like plants. Whereas, some go to seed, or to pot, others blossom in the most wonderful ways. I believe beauty competitions should be held only for people over seventy years of age. When we are young, we have the face and figure God gave us. We did nothing to earn our good looks. But, as we get older, character becomes etched on our face. Beautiful old people are works of art. Like a white candle in a holy place, so is the beauty of an aged face.
